FonoTec for Enterprise

Your brand already has a sound. Someone else picked it.

Right now the music in your showroom, your lobby, your cabin or your dining room was almost certainly chosen by a background-audio vendor from a catalogue your competitor also licenses. FonoTec builds you a station instead: your own channels, your own commissioned music, your own emerging-artist programme — fully cleared in every market you operate in, and audited play by play.

The case

Four reasons a global brand buys a station.

01

Distinctiveness

A licensed playlist is rented and interchangeable. A commissioned catalogue is owned territory. Your customer cannot hear your sound anywhere else, which is the entire definition of a brand asset.

02

Compliance, solved

Consumer streaming accounts are not licensed for public performance. One FonoTec contract clears every site, every market, every zone — with a per-play log your legal team can actually produce.

03

A culture story that is true

Every play pays a named emerging artist 85%. That is a sponsorship narrative, an ESG line and a social content engine — without inventing a foundation or writing a cheque to a charity.

04

It sells the product

Sound is the cheapest way to change how a space or a machine feels. Used properly it moves test drives, room upgrades, dwell time and opening-week footfall — all measurable.

JAGUAR
Copy Nothing · Type 00 · Exuberant Modernism

The road writes the playlist.

Sir William Lyons said a Jaguar should be a copy of nothing. The rebrand made that true of the silhouette, the palette and the Device Mark. It is not yet true of the sound. Every Jaguar cabin today plays the same consumer streaming service as every competitor's cabin — a copy of everything. FonoTec fixes the one surface Exuberant Modernism hasn't reached.

The drive modes
ModeConditionCommissioned brief
URBANCity, stop-start Sparse, low-end led, wide stereo. Nothing that competes with junction concentration.
MOTORWAYSustained cruise Long-form, minimal-change arrangements engineered against fatigue. Forty to sixty minute beds, no drops.
OFF-ROADLow grip, technical Percussive, wide dynamic range, high transient definition — sound that reads as traction.
CHARGE15 minutes, stationary The signature moment. A commissioned piece the exact length of a 200-mile charge — exclusive to Jaguar drivers, new every month.
ARRIVALFinal 90 seconds A resolving cue that lands as the car stops. The sonic equivalent of the Leaper — a maker's mark you hear.
The CHARGE piece is the idea to lead with. Type 00 targets 200 miles of charge in as little as fifteen minutes. That is a precisely defined, recurring, captive window that belongs entirely to Jaguar — the only fifteen minutes in motoring where the customer is sitting still, in your product, with nothing else to do. Nobody else in the category can commission for it, because nobody else has that exact interval.

Jaguar — in-cabin drive modes
RETAIL TOOL

The test drive becomes a demo

A salesperson can quote range figures, or they can switch the cabin to OFF-ROAD on a gravel turn and let it sell the car. Sound is the only specification a customer can feel inside ninety seconds — and the only one they can describe to someone else afterwards.

RETENTION

The soundtrack leaves with the driver

The same branded modes stay on their phone between journeys, refreshed monthly. An owned channel into the customer's week, not just their commute — and a reason to stay in the ecosystem between model cycles.

CULTURE

Art, which is the whole point

Type 00 was revealed at Miami Art Week. A permanent commissioning programme paying named emerging artists 85% is the most credible possible extension of that — and it runs all year, not for one week in December.

THE SOUND OF ME
ME by Meliá · Hotels with expression

Check in to the sound.

ME already says it: we are energy, we are inspiration. The Aura team already owns the atmosphere in every property. Radio Rooftop is already one of the best-known hotel music brands in Europe. Everything needed for a world-class sonic identity is in place — except the infrastructure to make it consistent, ownable and revenue-generating. FonoTec is the instrument the Aura team doesn't have yet.

The journey
ZoneHoursBrief
ARRIVALAll day The signature. The same eight bars in every ME property worldwide — the sonic equivalent of the scent.
LOBBYDayparted Six programmes from morning to late, tuned by the local Aura team to occupancy and to the city, without breaking the identity.
RADIO ROOFTOP17:00–02:00 Resident and guest DJs across London, Milan, Sitges and Ibiza — recorded, mastered and released under the ME imprint.
POOL10:00–19:00 Sun-tempo, escalating through the afternoon into the rooftop handover.
THE ROOMOn demand In-room channel — wake, focus, wind down, sleep, plus the live rooftop feed. This is the upsell surface.
Built for the Aura team, not around them. Every zone has a locked brand layer and an unlocked local layer. The arrival signature and the identity rules are fixed globally; the daypart programming inside them is the Aura team's to shape, property by property. That is the difference between a sound standard and a corporate mandate — and it is the difference between adoption and quiet non-compliance.

REVENUE

The Sound Room is a rate code

A designated category with calibrated in-room audio, an exclusive channel and a resident-DJ credit. It sits naturally alongside ME+ as a bookable upgrade with an incremental nightly rate — not a line in the amenity list.

MARKETING

Every rooftop set becomes a release

Radio Rooftop already produces the best cultural asset in the building, live, once, and then loses it. Recorded and released under the ME imprint with the property credited, a single night becomes content that markets the hotel all year.

CONTROL

One estate, one contract

Every property from ME London to ME Dubai, every zone, every territory under a single agreement with per-site reporting the regional GMs can see. Thirty local playlist decisions and thirty local licensing exposures become none.

WINGSTOP
Where Flavor Gets Its Wings · Serve the World Flavor

Every opening needs an opener.

Wingstop has already proved this format. The House of Flavor in Paris ran DJ sets, dance, art and fashion for two weeks and pulled a crowd that a discount could never have bought. The only problem with House of Flavor is that it was a pop-up. FonoTec turns it into the standing opening playbook — running in every city the brand opens in, on the way to becoming a top ten global restaurant brand.

The opening playbook
StageTimingWhat happens
OPEN CALLT–6 weeks FonoTec opens submissions to DJs and producers in the new store's city. Free to enter, no management or label required.
THE SHORTLISTT–3 weeks Public vote plus FonoTec A&R selects three. The shortlist alone generates local press and a mailing list.
OPENING NIGHTDay 0 The winner plays the opening. Paid properly, credited on every asset, filmed for their channels and yours.
THE RELEASET+1 week The set is mastered and released on FonoTec under the store's name. The artist keeps 85% forever.
THE STATIONOngoing Every winning set feeds the national in-store station. Openings compound into a catalogue nobody else has.
One flavour drop, one sound drop. The brand already ships limited-time flavours on a rhythm the audience follows. Pair each one with a commissioned track from the artist roster the openings have built — same drop date, same assets, same social beat. Flavour and sound launching together is a format no competitor in the category can copy quickly, because it takes two years of openings to build the roster.

REACH

An artist brings an audience

A discount buys one day of volume and teaches the customer to wait for the next discount. A local artist arrives with an existing following, their own social reach and a reason to promote the night — at no extra media cost.

COMPOUNDING

It gets better every opening

Fifty openings become fifty local stories, fifty releases and fifty artists with a genuine reason to talk about the brand — permanently, in fifty cities, in the exact demographic the brand wants.

DISTINCTIVE

Your stores stop sounding like everyone else

Every store plays music from artists the brand actually launched. The in-store audio becomes proof of the brand's claim rather than a monthly licensing line item.

Playing a store opening sounds like nothing until you realise it's the first time a brand has ever paid me properly, credited me by name, and let me keep the record.
KKæloDJ & producer · Leeds
Two hundred people came because I was playing. They'd never have come for a voucher. That's the whole difference and it took the brand nothing extra.

Delivery

Live in ninety days.

Enterprise audio projects have a reputation for taking a year. They take a year because the catalogue, the clearance and the delivery platform are three separate vendors. On FonoTec they are one.

WEEK 1–2

Sonic audit

We map every space, surface and moment where your customer hears something — and what they hear today. Most brands have never seen this written down.

WEEK 3–6

Brief & commission

Channel architecture, zone rules and dayparting agreed. A&R briefs go out to the FonoTec artist network. First commissioned material returns inside three weeks.

WEEK 7–10

Pilot sites

Three to five live sites with measurement in place — dwell, conversion, upgrade rate, staff feedback. We tune against the data, not against opinion.

WEEK 11–13

Estate rollout

Central console, per-site override, per-play reporting, single global clearance. Your team gets a dashboard; your legal team gets an audit trail.

Commercials

Annual licence. No per-site surprises.
